Scope and audience

This notice applies only to the redesigned release of القارئ الشيخ إسلام صبحي, Android package ly.mashariquran.azkaree (version 1.0.0, version code 100). It describes that release when installed; it does not assert that an older installed release has the same features. The app is intended for ages 13 and older. The children's-app provisions in the general policy do not describe its target audience.

For this release, this notice takes precedence over the general policy's descriptions of location, age signals, SDKs, diagnostics, retention, deletion and security. It does not change the practices or disclosures of other Lyl Studio apps.

Optional location and district names

With your permission, the app uses approximate or precise location for prayer times, Qibla direction and the displayed district or city. Prayer-time and Qibla calculations take place on your device. The most recent coordinates and location labels are kept in encrypted local storage for these features and reminders; if encrypted storage is unavailable, sensitive preferences are kept in memory.

Android's geocoding service may transmit the coordinates to its service provider to look up a district or city. This happens after the in-app location disclosure and your agreement. Consequently, the general statement that precise location never leaves the device does not apply to this release. The app does not send these coordinates to a Lyl Studio server or add them to advertising requests.

You can decline location, choose approximate access where Android provides that choice, or revoke permission in system settings. Other app sections remain available. The app does not request background location permission; live location updates stop when the app leaves the foreground. Saved coordinates can still support local reminders.

Age choice, advertising and consent

The optional age-band question does not ask for your date of birth. The choice is saved locally and translated into age-treatment and under-age-of-consent signals sent to Google to apply advertising protections and consent requirements. Choosing Later defers advertising; choosing under 13 prevents ad requests. Ages 13–15 receive under-consent-age protection, and ages 16–17 receive teen treatment. Ad content is restricted to Google's G rating.

Google AdMob is the advertising SDK used in this release. It may collect and share IP-derived approximate location, app/ad interactions, diagnostic information and advertising or app identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. This IP-based location is separate from your Android location permission.

Google's User Messaging Platform handles advertising consent where required. You can review the age choice in the app's advertising privacy settings and reopen Google's privacy options where available. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily stop all SDK data collection. Ad requests depend on Google's consent status and the app's age protections.

Notifications, diagnostics and local content

Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firebase Installations process an app-installation identifier and technical metadata to provide notifications. This release has no Lyl Studio server that receives the messaging token. Denying notification permission does not itself disable Firebase registration.

The app does not integrate Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics in this release. AdMob's own analytics and diagnostic processing still applies. A separate crash-report feature saves technical crash details locally. You may choose to send a report to the development team through Android's share sheet; reports are not automatically uploaded by this feature.

Quran text, bookmarks, reading progress, prayer tracking, preferences and downloaded recitations/pages are stored locally. Streaming and downloading content contacts the content host, which receives the request and IP address. The app does not upload your personal audio library, photos, contacts or documents. It does not offer account registration or login.

Retention, deletion and security

Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes its local data. This does not delete records already processed by Google or another provider. Provider-held data is subject to that provider's retention and deletion practices. We do not promise that all data for this release is automatically deleted within 90 days; the general policy's 90-day statement does not apply to this release.

There is currently no dedicated, implemented mechanism in this release for requesting deletion of all data processed by external providers. The general deletion-request description must not be read as a promise that an email to Lyl Studio deletes provider-held data. You can still contact us about privacy and exercise applicable statutory rights. This notice does not limit those rights.

The app's content connections use HTTPS, and Google documents encryption in transit for AdMob and Firebase. Android's geocoding provider operates its own service; its processing and transport practices are governed by that provider. The app's local encryption does not establish how an external service stores data.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Lyl Studio (operated under the Google Play developer account "Lyl Studio") collects, uses, and protects information when you use any of our 110+ Android applications (collectively, "the Apps") available on Google Play Store.

Our Apps span multiple categories including: Quran & Islamic, Quran for Children, Kids & Educational, Nasheed & Recitations, Supplications, Kids Entertainment, and Utility Tools. This single policy governs all applications published under our developer account.

How to read this policy. Because it covers many different Apps, some sections describe features that exist only in some of them. Wherever a practice applies to a subset of the Apps, we say so explicitly. No App collects more than what is described here, and the Google Play Data safety section on each App's store listing states exactly what that individual App collects.

By downloading, installing, or using any of our Apps, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. Developer Identity & Verification

This Privacy Policy URL (https://lyl-studio.com/privacy) is the official privacy policy registered with Google Play Console for all apps under the "Lyl Studio" developer account.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Google Play Families Policy)

⚡ Important: We take children's privacy very seriously.

Several of our Apps are designed for children and are enrolled in the Google Play Families Program. For these Apps, we strictly comply with:

  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
  • Google Play Families Policy requirements
  • GDPR-K (General Data Protection Regulation for minors, where applicable)

For Children's Apps specifically:

  • We do NOT knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years of age.
  • We do NOT require user registration, login, or any form of personal data input.
  • Advertising in children's apps (if any) is served exclusively through Google AdMob Family-Certified Ad Networks, which comply with COPPA and Google's Families Ads requirements.
  • We do NOT use behavioral advertising or interest-based ad targeting for children's content.
  • We do NOT share children's data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
  • Children's Apps do NOT request location permission.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through any of our Apps, please contact us immediately at lamar.mohamed312@gmail.com and we will promptly delete such information.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Automatically Collected Data (Log Data)

When you use our Apps, we may automatically collect certain technical information through third-party SDKs, including:

  • Device information (model, manufacturer, OS version)
  • IP address — used by advertising and analytics providers to estimate an approximate location (city/country level) and to prevent fraud
  • App version and build number
  • Crash logs and performance diagnostics (launch time, hang rate, energy usage)
  • In-app interactions (which screens are visited, taps, session duration)
  • Advertising ID and App Set ID (in ad-supported Apps; resettable by the user)

4.2 Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Personal names, email addresses, or phone numbers
  • User accounts — none of our Apps offer registration or login
  • Photos, contacts, files, or documents on your device
  • Financial information or payment details
  • Biometric or health data
  • SMS messages, call logs, or the list of other apps installed on your device
  • Microphone or camera recordings

4.3 Location (prayer-time and Qibla Apps only)

A subset of our Apps — those that provide prayer times and the Qibla direction — request location permission. This is the only reason location is ever requested by any of our Apps.

  • The prayer-time and Qibla calculation runs entirely on your device using astronomical formulas. Your coordinates are never sent to our servers — we operate no server that receives them.
  • Coordinates are stored encrypted on your device only, and are removed when you uninstall the App.
  • We never share your precise location with advertisers or analytics providers, and we never use it for advertising or profiling. The only transfer is the place-name lookup described in the next point.
  • To show the name of your district, town or village, Android's built-in geocoding service may send the coordinates to its provider (for example Google). We do not send them to our own servers or include them in ad requests. You can choose approximate location or turn the permission off at any time.
  • The permission is optional. These Apps remain usable without it, and you can revoke it at any time in system settings.

Separately and independently of this permission, advertising networks may infer an approximate location from your IP address, as happens in any ad-supported app.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

The following third-party services are used in some of our Apps — not every App uses every service. Each is governed by its own privacy policy. The Data safety section of an individual App's store listing reflects what that App actually uses.

Some Apps stream or download audio and images (for example Quran recitations or Mushaf pages) from public content servers. Those requests carry your IP address to the hosting provider, as with any download on the internet, and carry no identifier of you.

6. Advertising & Your Consent

For the redesigned ly.mashariquran.azkaree release, the age and consent handling in its app-specific notice applies.

  • Ad-supported Apps display advertising through Google AdMob. Ads are never shown over Quranic text in our Quran Apps.
  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a consent form is presented on first launch through Google's User Messaging Platform. You may accept or decline personalized advertising, and you can change your choice at any time from the App's settings.
  • Where personalization is declined or not applicable, non-personalized ads are requested instead.
  • You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time from Settings → Google → Ads on your device.
  • Children's Apps use only Family-certified ad networks and never behavioral targeting.

7. Website Cookies & Advertising

This section applies to the website lyl-studio.com only. The mobile Apps are covered by the sections above.

  • This website displays no advertising. We do not run Google AdSense or any other ad network on lyl-studio.com, and no advertising or ad-personalization code is loaded on any page.
  • Because no ads are served, no advertising cookies are set by this website and no advertising identifiers are collected from visitors.
  • This website uses Google Analytics for Firebase only, to measure aggregate traffic and page performance. It does not collect personally identifying information; a pseudonymous analytics cookie is used for measurement. Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode and is disabled by default for visitors in the European Economic Area until they consent via the cookie banner.
  • You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not prevent you from using the website.
  • Advertising inside our mobile Apps is a separate matter and is described in the sections above.

8. App Permissions

Depending on its features, an App may request some of the permissions below. No App requests all of them. Each permission is used solely for the core functionality described and never for unauthorized data harvesting.

  • INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE:Streaming or downloading audio and images, loading ads, and checking connectivity before a download begins.
  • ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION:Prayer-time and Qibla Apps only, to calculate prayer times and the direction of the Kaaba on your device. Optional — see section 4.3.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE (MEDIA_PLAYBACK):Enables uninterrupted audio playback (Quran, Nasheed, Adhan) while the App is in the background.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE (DATA_SYNC):Shows the progress of recitations you choose to download, so the download can finish reliably. You can cancel it from the notification at any time.
  • SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM:Sounds the Adhan and prayer reminders at the exact minute. Without it the reminder may be delayed by the system.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS / VIBRATE:Delivers prayer reminders, daily Quran reminders, and educational notifications.
  • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED:Re-schedules reminders and prayer alarms after the device restarts.
  • WAKE_LOCK:Keeps playback and scheduled alarms reliable while the screen is off.
  • STORAGE (app-specific):Caches audio and page images for offline use. Only the App's own private directories are accessed; your personal files are never read.

You may revoke any permission at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Permissions.

9. How We Use Collected Information

  • To operate and maintain app functionality (Quran playback, prayer times, educational games, notifications)
  • To monitor and improve app performance and stability
  • To display advertisements (in compliance with Google's policies and family ad standards)
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid ad traffic
  • To comply with Google Play Store policies and legal requirements
  • To identify and fix crashes, errors, and bugs

10. Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • We do NOT sell your personal data to any third party.
  • Data collected by the advertising and analytics SDKs listed in Section 5 is shared with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. This is inherent to those services and is reflected in each App's Data safety declaration.
  • We do NOT share your precise location with advertisers or analytics providers. Prayer-time Apps may pass coordinates to Android's geocoding provider only to display a place name, as described in section 4.3.
  • We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

11. Google Play Data Safety

Each App declares its data practices in the Data safety section of its Google Play listing. For an ad-supported App, that declaration typically maps to this policy as follows:

Apps without advertising, or without notifications or location features, declare correspondingly less. Always refer to the individual App's store listing for its exact declaration.

12. Data Security

Android's geocoding service used by prayer-time Apps is operated by the device's platform provider under its own security practices (see section 4.3). The app-specific notice above adds detail for ly.mashariquran.azkaree.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all network requests made by our Apps
  • Minimal data collection principle (we only collect what is strictly necessary)
  • On-device encrypted storage for sensitive preferences such as saved coordinates
  • Regular security audits of third-party SDKs
  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase)

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

13. Data Retention & Deletion

The following 90-day retention statement does not apply to the redesigned ly.mashariquran.azkaree release. Its local-data and provider-retention practices are described in the app-specific notice above.

We retain automatically collected log data for a maximum of 90 days for crash analysis and performance monitoring purposes. After this period, data is automatically purged from our analytics systems. Advertising identifiers are managed by Google and can be reset by the user at any time.

All content you create inside an App — bookmarks, reading progress, counters, saved settings, cached audio and images, and saved coordinates — is stored on your device only. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes it. We hold no copy and operate no account system from which it could be restored.

14. Your Rights

For ly.mashariquran.azkaree, see the app-specific notice for the currently available deletion controls and the limits of email requests. Applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request information about what data we have collected about you.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data by contacting us at lamar.mohamed312@gmail.com. You may also delete all on-device data at any time by uninstalling the App.
  • Withdraw Ad Consent: Change your advertising consent choice from the App's settings at any time (where the consent form applies).
  • Opt-Out of Ads Personalization: You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
  • Revoke Permissions: Disable any granted permission from your device settings at any time, including location.
  • Uninstall: You may uninstall any of our Apps at any time, which will stop all data collection by that App.

15. International Users

Our Apps are available worldwide. If you are accessing our Apps from the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Please contact us for any region-specific requests.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our Apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
